The prophecies of the ancient Americas speak about the years leading up to, and beyond, 2012 as being a time of great change and transformation; a time that will initiate the appearance of a new human on the planet (Homo-luminous), a Being of Light, consciously connected to the matrix of life; a person of wisdom and power who lives free of fear, resides in their eternal nature, lives in harmony with all beings and accepts guardianship of all creation. [Munay-Ki Rites]
This new Being will live in alignment of right action, right heart and right thought, living that which Buddha affirmed with these words … You are what you think. All that you are arises from your thoughts. With your thoughts you make your world.
The nine great Rites of Enlightenment, known by the Inca Q’ero Paq’os (Shamans) of Peru, as the Munay-Ki, are the Rites of Passage.
Quechua is the language spoken by the native people of the Americas. Munay-Ki is a Quechua word that means I love you or Be as Thou Art.
Dr. Alberto Villoldo received these rites from the Laika, the high wisdom keepers of the Peruvian Andes and the Amazon; he has brought them to the west in the universal form that I, too, have experienced.
These nine rites are said to have been derived from the great initiations from the Hindus Valley that were brought to the Americas by the first medicine men and women who crossed the Bering Straits from Siberia during the glacial period some 30,000 years ago. These courageous travelers were the Laika, the Earthkeepers of old. [Munay-Ki Awakening]
These sacred Rites realign and attune our neuro-pathways and shift our consciousness. They empower us to step-up to the task of assuming ‘Stewardship’ for the Earth and all of Creation. It is the hope of the Inca Shaman that these Rites get passed to as many people as possible. The time is now, and there are enough of us with raised vibration and good intent to lead our spiritual evolution. [The Shamanic Munay–Ki Rites]
A torus or pi shaped stone is used “as a tool in many of the Rites, (a donut-shaped carved stone), which uses its Sacred Geometry to act as a vortex of energy, or a hyper–dimensional gateway, to an invisible realm of spirit. [Ibid.]
The torus is the three dimensional shape of a donut. This shape allows energy to flow up through the center and then wrap around to flow back down on the outside in a constant three dimensional circling. It is said that energy circulates in and around us in a similar pattern, rising in the core, through the crown and down around the luminous energy field that surrounds the body. The cycle repeats continuously. [Stepping Into Freedom]
A Shaman trained in the Peruvian heritage, courtesy of Dr. Alberto Villoldo, Alison Normore recently relocated to Bonne Bay, Newfoundland.
Long drawn to ancient spiritual practices, like Shamanism, it was a privilege to connect with Alison in order to experience the first four Rites of the Munay-Ki, also known as the Foundation Rites; namely, [1] the Healer’s Rite, [2] the Bands of Power, [3] the Harmony Rites and [4] the Seer’s Rites, over the course of an intense two day weekend workshop (December 1 and 2, 2012).
All are transmission rites that prepare one’s luminous energy field to hold the vibration and power of the initiations that follow thereafter.
Alison explained the importance of right action (lower chakras) being completely aligned with right heart (heart chakra) and right thinking (upper chakras) to the Laika people; clearly, this is how we are meant to live.
Right action is what you do with your body. If you live without discrimination, without fear, everything you do can help the planet survive. [You Don’t Need To Be Buddhist article] Right action often involves prayer, chanting and meditation.
Right heart (intention) pertains to one’s heart always being in the right place and can be exemplified through love, compassion and empathy.
Did you know that within the heart can be found all of the knowledge and wisdom that is sought?
Unfortunately, mankind has moved away from the heart of the world to the logic of the mind, and their belief is in the chemist, the physicist and the mathematician. [Melchizedek, Drunvalo. (2008) Serpent of Light Beyond 2012: The Movement of the Earth’s Kundalin and the Rise of the Female Light, 1949 to 2013 (page5). Weiser Books: San Franciso, CA.]
Right thinking is thinking without discrimination. When you produce a thought in alignment with right thinking, that thought is full of understanding and compassion. It has the power to heal you and to heal the world. [You Don’t Need To Be Buddhist article]
Whilst the equation Right Action (Body) + Right Intention (Heart) + Right Thought (Mind) = Balance, it must be remembered that creation always begins in the heart, and then it is transferred to the mind. [Melchizedek, Drunvalo. (2008) Serpent of Light Beyond 2012: The Movement of the Earth’s Kundalin and the Rise of the Female Light, 1949 to 2013 (page5). Weiser Books: San Franciso, CA.]
All of the Rites are transmitted to you as seeds which must be germinated in order to grow into fruition. It is imperative to make note of the three things that will grow the seeds of your initiations; namely, [1] the transformational fire ceremony, [2] spending time outdoors in nature, and [3] visualization and meditations to bring in the light which feeds your luminous body and the Rites in particular.
