An avid and voracious reader, I can attest to knowing how to read before I began school. Suffice it to say that I have long had a love affair with books; hence, my need to express the other side of the coin as a writer.
This page boasts all of the metaphysical fiction titles that have managed to captivate me.

THE TEMPLAR LEGACY (Steve Berry)
The ancient order of the Knights Templar possessed untold wealth and absolute power over kings and popes . . . until the Inquisition, when they were wiped from the face of the earth, their hidden riches lost. But now two forces vying for the treasure have learned that it is not at all what they thought it was–and its true nature could change the modern world. Cotton Malone, one-time top operative for the U.S. Justice Department, is enjoying his quiet new life as an antiquarian book dealer in Copenhagen when an unexpected call to action reawakens his hair-trigger instincts–and plunges him back into the cloak-and-dagger world he thought he’d left behind. It begins with a violent robbery attempt on Cotton’s former supervisor, Stephanie Nelle, who’s far from home on a mission that has nothing to do with national security. Armed with vital clues to a series of centuries-old puzzles scattered across Europe, she means to crack a mystery that has tantalized scholars and fortune-hunters through the ages by finding the legendary cache of wealth and forbidden knowledge thought to have been lost forever when the order of the Knights Templar was exterminated in the fourteenth century. But she’s not alone. Competing for the historic prize–and desperate for the crucial information Stephanie possesses–is Raymond de Roquefort, a shadowy zealot with an army of assassins at his command. Welcome or not, Cotton seeks to even the odds in the perilous race. But the more he learns about the ancient conspiracy surrounding the Knights Templar, the more he realizes that even more than lives are at stake. At the end of a lethal game of conquest, rife with intrigue, treachery, and craven lust for power, lies a shattering discovery that could rock the civilized world–and, in the wrong hands, bring it to its knees. SECRETS OF THE MAGDALENE SCROLLS (Bettye Johnson)
A woman on a hike in the French Pyrenees falls into an underground cave and makes an astounding discovery, unbeknownst to her at the time. Hidden inside pottery jars are 23 scrolls that have been written by Mary Magdalene. Therein begins this fast paced adventure as the woman and her 3 friends work feverishly to translate them from their ancient Greek; their work further heightened by the fact that they have no choice but to protect the scrolls from those who are conspiring against them. In revealing the words of MM, they must grapple with the fact that this new knowledge will rock the very foundation of modern religion(s). Throughout the translating of the ancient scrolls, each character is also experiencing their own spiritual transformation, thereby leading to remarkable healing. The book, thusly, alternates between the stories that are written in the scrolls and the modern day story focusing on these four people. The combination of in-depth research, knowledge and imagination, in keeping with both history and alternative possibilities, makes this book a fascinating read. The fact that there are tidbits of historical information included throughout the story is what makes it more plausible. One will discover through the reading of the Secrets of the Magdalene Scrolls that Jeshua (Jesus) and MM are married and have children. In addition, Jesus has been born into a family of brothers. Other biblical figures are discussed in the scrolls, making them appear human and fallible. The reading of the book incites one to wonder if there are, indeed, scrolls still hidden, out there, waiting to be discovered. The flip side equates to wondering how many have actually been discovered, yet kept silent by the Church. This book is a must for those who enjoy researching alternative histories of Christianity and should, therefore, ignite curiosity in its readers to question some of the commonly held assumptions of modern religious thought, delving head first into the realm of possibilities. I now leave you with words from Mary Magdalene, herself, as taken from pages 304 to 305.
As my status and presence have been suppressed, so has the true status of women been hidden away. I see a new dawn. When my writings are found, it will be a sign of change for women and they will be revered as the wombs of creation. Woman and man will walk side by side, each gifted with minds equal but reflecting the varied aspect of the One. What is my message? Foremost I say that Yeshua’s message was Love and Truth. The old ways must be done away with. Over and over he spoke the message: Love the Lord your God with all your heart, soul, all your mind and life. Next is to love other beings as you would love yourself. My message, together with Yeshua’s, is Mind.
And what is Mind? Mind is the total of all thoughts, feelings and emotions. Yeshua and I were like two hands. One had was love and the other mind. When clasped together they became the One. The Truth is available to all. It is for those who have the eyes to see and the ears to hear. Life has been for the purpose to awaken the Divine that sleeps deep within each person from one lifetime to another.
My teachings have been consistent. By healing the thoughts, the body will be healed. Change is necessary and created by what one thinks and believes. All learned people can espouse great knowledge. Unless they turn it into experience, it is empty of meaning.
Ms. Johnson deserves to be commended for having written a truly awesome book that is available at both Amazon (US) and Amazon (CDA).

THE SECRET MAGDALENE (Ki Longfellow)
Raised like sisters, Mariamne and Salome are indulged with riches, position, and learning-a rare thing for females in Jerusalem. But Mariamne has a further gift: an illness has left her with visions; she has the power of prophecy. It is her prophesying that drives the two girls to flee to Egypt, where they study philosophy, mathematics, and astronomy in the Great Library of Alexandria. After seven years they return to a Judaea where many now believe John the Baptizer is the messiah. Salome too begins to believe, but Mariamne, now called Magdalene, is drawn to his cousin, Yeshu’a, a man touched by the divine in the same way she was during her days of illness. Together they speak of sharing their direct experience of God; but Yeshu’a unexpectedly gains a reputation as a healer, and as the ill and the troubled flock to him, he and Magdalene are forced to make a terrible decision. This radical retelling of the greatest story ever told brings Mary Magdalene to life-not as a prostitute or demon-possessed-but as an educated woman who was truly the “apostle to the apostles.” This book is available at both

Then Maureen receives a strange package containing what looks like an ancient letter written in Latin and signed with a symbol. She discovers that its author is an extraordinary woman whom history has overlooked — or covered up — Countess Matilda of Tuscany, and in the letter Matilda demands the return of her “most precious books and documents.” Maureen soon finds herself in a race across Italy and France, where hidden dangers await her and her lover, Bérenger, as they begin to realize that they are on the trail of another explosive discovery: the Book of Love, the Gospel written in Jesus’ own hand.
